here we go again...

as you can see i don't post much unless something truly rouses my interest, and of course EVERYONE is blogging about this craziness. last night was the 2009 MTV video music awards back in it's original location of New York City. of course the show started with the WONDERFUL michael jackson tribute, featuring miss janet jackson. BET, that is how you do a tribute. pack your shit and go away somewhere. but apart from that, lady gaga's outfits, and pink's performance i wasn't too pleased. they were back in THEIR city, they should've came harder. but even so, at least SOMEONE left us something to talk about;

first of all, so there is no confusion or anything, congrats to taylor swift for winning best female video with 'you belong with me'. i like the song and the video's cute, and i'd much rather watch that than beyoncé and two dancers dance in black and white for three minutes and some seconds. but obviously everyone's favorite headline KANYE WEST didn't think so. in the midst of her speech, the drunken rapper took the stage, stole her mic, and basically said that bey-bey should've won. of course i was on twitter and the site went APESHIT. 'Kanye's' became a trending topic soon after and is STILL a trending topic as i type. and when diddy was on stage and spoke his name the whole venue was BOOING HIM. as if white people liked us before; they have a new reason to think we all act like this. which was why i applauded bey for letting taylor come back on stage and have her time like she should have.

alright, there are the facts. now for my opinion. to be honest, i'm sorry that it happened to taylor, but to be honest i think it would've happened to WHOEVER came on that stage. kanye is kanye. he says what he wants, when he wants, and however he wants. he's been this way since the get-go and the fact that ANYONE is walking around like this shit is brand new is either unaware of life itself or just fronting like a bitch. and at the end of the day if you still buy his music he's still making his money and doesn't have to do shit for you. because there are people out there hollering about his behavior last night and yet still bumping the college dropout, late registration, graduation, 808s, or even all three. it's the way of his character; he never has and will never hold his tongue unless HE feel he needs to. so, in a few words, get over it. shit happens. if he apologizes to taylor, i'll be surprised but i'll applaud him. now, don't get me wrong, i'm not condoning, justifying, or encouraging his behavior because this could very much fuck him up in the long run and as we all can see it's already causing some problems for him, such as him and amber getting kicked out of the awards show. but if he continues to be in his position at the top he's gonna be him and there's not shit you can do about it.

i just sat through two hours of something amazing...

i sit here, maybe an hour after it was all said and done with tears brimming in my eyes, still. some of ya'll don't even understand what we've lost. he was more than an entertainer, a trendsetter, an icon. he was one of the most beautiful human beings this world has gotten the chance to witness. if god made anything better he kept it to himself. i just...i might be young but i feel like i knew him and that i grew up with him. he was REAL music, real emotions...he was everything an entertainer should be.

and yet...people in the industry just don't get it. the shit out today with the exception of a small few have spat and shit and vomited on the real meaning of music to me. looking back at this man's music, i'm ashamed of being apart of this generation. we don't know real music. no one can take this man's place. not a beyonce, not a rihanna, not an usher, not a chris brown, NO ONE. they can try, maybe someone will step to the plate and be that great entertainer that our generation so desperately needs. but from where i'm standing everyone too into themselves to do it. i'm begging our artists, our entertainers....GROW SOME BALLS AND STEP YOUR GAME UP, PLEASE. i'm begging you, because at this point with the death of the king of entertainment came the death of real music. ya'll got the skill, just get the will, please.

and let me get some shit straight. that man's personal issues has nothing to do with his music and the things he did for the world. he did so much for this world and ya'll have the nerve to speak down upon him. have some fucking respect and integrity for yourself. ultimately these issues and the media are the reason that he began to crumble. if ya'll was listening to reverend al sharpton then i don't have to say shit else.

but in closing, i just want to thank michael. for everything you've contributed to the world, to me...you are truly an angel and a gift to this undeserving world. they didn't appreciate you then, but i bet they will now. rest easy prince; your job is done.

chris brown was at court yesterday afternoon along with rihanna for the preliminary hearings, but he took a plea deal. he will be serving 180 days of community service by attending a domestic violence program, and will serve five years probation. there is also a 'stay-away' order that has been issued during the duration of the probation, although it may be reconsidered by august. BOOM BOOM POW, no jail time. although five years is a LONG time for probation, let's just be thankful nobody's gonna try to play with that ass in jail. and to those who are on that bullshit still;
